Drupal embraced by Microsoft

You know you've picked a winner when it's embraced by the largest software services company in the world. Not only was Microsoft a Platinum Sponsor of this year's DrupalCon, but they announced that they were releasing a SQL Server Driver for PHP as well as that they have been working with the Commerce Guys on creating a Drupal 7-specific driver for SQL Server.  This is a huge depature for a company that has it's own product (.ASP) competing in the same space.

Drupal is a fantastic open source social publishing system with features that allow users to create every kind of website imaginable. Drupal now runs great on the Microsoft Web Platform. Microsoft is teaming up with the Drupal Community to provide even more power and features to Drupal.
